Graffiti Removal

Unfortunately during the last 10 years we have seen a dramatic increase in graffiti throughout the UK. Blank walls and fences are usually selected but lamp posts, B.T. boxes, telephone boxes, bus shelters and shop fronts are all targeted.

Regrettably, the culprits responsible for graffiti have no respect for private houses, shops, walls or fences.

Responsibility for removing the graffiti rests with the Private Owner or Local Authority depending on ownership. Most buildings insurance policies include cover for criminal damage of this nature, so it is advisable to check with your insurance company before deciding what to do.

It is a good idea to report the incident to the Police as it is classed as criminal damage and if the perpetrators are caught the Police can take the appropriate action.

Graffiti removal is prioritised according to the content of the graffiti with racist or overtly offensive graffiti being given highest priority and dealt with within 24 hours. Other types of graffiti may take up to three days to remove.
